Semantic Search and Relationship Ranking using SWETO Ontology

چکیده

Web has become an important part of our day to day lives. Whether we are trying to make an online payment or if we are trying to reserve a trip, we can do that with a click of a mouse. Web has defined the way we live. It has made our lives easier and effortless. Search engines play an important role in the current web’s infrastructure. Similarly, with the advent of semantic web, there would be a need of semantic search engines. Semantic search starts with the existing searchable data in the knowledge base and focuses on the semantic meaning of user query. In order to find the relationship between two entities, a recursive semantic search algorithm is proposed and tested in SWETO ontology. After applying the relationship ranking algorithm, the search and ranking results meet our expectation. A prototype system is implemented as well. Index Terms — Semantic Search, Relationship Ranking
